This is the painting I did for my school's fund raising project. (Calendars, greeting cards, post cards, etc)
The jury must've really hated it, because it wasn't chosen to be used for any aspect of the fund raising project.

That's a shame, because design-wise I feel it would have been an excellent composition for a poster, with ample space for information to be placed.

Hmm... perhaps it didn't suit the theme they were looking for?
The focus of the painting I'm seeing here is the tall building and in some ways it emphasizes heavy industry looming over nature. I get this because of the color choice/play where higher civilization is in blue whereas the more traditional is in earthy colors. Furthermore, the two lone birds and grasses add to this idea.

Haha, thats just my perspective on the painting and it's not all that important so don't let it affect you :D

Overall though, the painting itself is lovely and shows a good deal of craftsmanship.
Do keep up the good work :D
